Letting Agents in Chelsea London SW3 , SW10
Area Comments
Outside of the truly exclusive and largely impossible to penetrate markets such as Belgravia, Chelsea must rank as one of the top addresses both in London and the UK. The properties in this area are extremely desirable and the area is stocked with the well-heeled, the rich and occasionally the famous.
The huge range of property available in the Chelsea area is mostly unified by the one fact that it all costs a great deal. There is, startlingly, however, still some council property here - the world famous World's End estate. But properties near here are still very exclusive, which gives some idea of the value of those towards the upper-scale end of the district.
Chelsea's popularity is at least partly to do with who lives here, but the reason they do so is because of its gorgeous setting - Chelsea sits along the river and its borders stretch up, through wide, gently curving and exclusive streets as far north as the Brompton Road. The setting includes King's Road, one of London's most famous streets and a base for all of the world's top fashion brands and very expensive boutiques. The local clubs are the most exclusive in town, the bars and restaurants top-notch. Local hospitals and schools are of course excellent.
Chelsea's housing is wonderful, some of the best in London. The area has a broader range of houses and apartments than the slightly more 'establishment' Kensington, perhaps a result of having been, for a long time, the haunt of writers and artists. There are beautiful Georgian properties including magnificent 5-storey houses in areas such as Milner Street, as well as lovely redbrick mansions, artisans cottages, and exceptional Victorian terraces. More modern blocks and developments are found in Chelsea Harbour, which contains exceptional flats and townhouses, and provides wonderful views. All properties in Chelsea are exceptional, and all are utterly desirable.
