Hundreds of Kensington residents visit local jobs fair
Tenants in property to rent in Kensington and flats to rent in London regions close by had the chance to enhance their job prospects last week.
A Jobs and Training Fair was held at Kensington Town Hall on Wednesday June 10th - and the royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea council has revealed that hundreds of local people turned up to the event.
It was the third year in a row that the occasion has been hosted by the authority and it highlighted one of the reasons why people may want to choose property to rent in Kensington when they are looking for somewhere to live.
The event could have been particularly relevant to many of the visitors as it was announced this week that unemployment in the UK has risen to 2.26 million and is expected to increase further before the end of the year.
Commenting on the jobs fair, cabinet member for service improvement and regeneration Tim Ahern said: "This event is all about supporting people who are unemployed and helping them to find suitable vacancies in the Kensington and Chelsea area."
