£5 million of funding released to improve London's air quality
The mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has released the first part of the Air Quality Fund in an attempt to improve the air quality of the city as a whole. The fund will ultimately provide £20 million to the fight against London air pollution. To start the work, Mr Johnson has released £5.4 million towards the cause, which will see businesses in London and the boroughs start work.

Richmond celebrates opportunities for youngsters
Richmond is celebrating the latest figures that show the borough has the highest national rate of teenagers in education, training or employment. The national average of 16 to 18-year-olds being involved in one of these three activities currently stands at 81.4 per cent, whereas Richmond's figures show that almost 96 per cent of teenagers are working or learning.

New council premises create space for hundreds of new homes in Bexleyheath
Work on the former Woolwich Building Society head office in Bexleyheath is underway. The building is being refurbished and is set to become the new base for Bexley Council in spring next year. Part of the refurbishment process will also be the construction of 126 new homes.
