One of the spots to invest in and a lovely place to be, Hanwell is in the west of the Ealing and its position, as well as the great quality of housing to be had, makes it one of the best places to look at if you're looking for a busy central feel but with space to call your own.
Ealing in general is of course a wonderful place to be, and Hanwell has all the benefits of this. There are excellent facilities in the small town centre, which has increasingly good (and a wide choice of) pubs and restaurants. There are lots of great places to eat and drink in the area, such as the Kings Arms - a wonderful local haunt both in terms of beer and architecture - and others. Transport, naturally for any Ealing area, is good both into town and out into the West. Hanwell has excellent canalside walks and developments as it's near the Grand Union Canal and the River Brent. This is a good - especially for a borough close to town - place to ride your bikes.
Hanwell is an area of Victorian terraced houses, both entire homes and subdivided into generously-sized flats. Hanwell is known for its excellent Victorian houses and its quiet, safe streets are stocked with lovely properties. There are a few, very well built and maintained, modern apartment developments near to the town's rail station especially.
Hanwell's access to Ealing and into town make it great for the young professional, whilst its facilities, nearby open spaces such as Ealing Green, and places of interest such as the Brent Park Animal Centre, as well as its increasingly fine (as maintenance improves) Victorian terraces make it ideal for growing families looking for Ealing style without the price.
