Shopping is excellent both in the main streets around Victoria - which bustle with browsers looking at large stores and big names - and in the immediate Pimlico area, with its little streets and city-village feel (similar in a way to that of Marylebone), where there are some nice little second hand shops, boutiques and independent traders. Living here is also excellent for access to London's theatreland (both the West End and the nearby theatres), as well as for a vast range of places to eat and drink. You're plugged straight into London's museum, gallery and historical site world, many of which (Parliament, Tate Britain, and others) are close by.
