Kensington and Chelsea libraries to host public events
Families living in flats to rent in Kensington and Chelsea over the coming months will be able to experience a range of entertainment events at their local libraries.
Authorities at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea have announced that £5 tickets are going on sale for cultural celebrations and special meet-and-greet sessions with famous authors that are taking place in 2012.
Historian Anna Reid will be discussing her book Leningrad: Tragedy of a City under Siege at Kensington Central Library on January 12th 2012, followed by an appearance by Lady Antonia Fraser, author of Must You Go? in March.
That month will also see BBC correspondents Richard Hamilton and Mary Harper turning up at North Kensington Library to talk about their careers.
Meanwhile, fun events will also be taking place at numerous libraries throughout February, including a cartoon workshop, a mask-making session and a workshop to mark the Chinese new year.
This comes after the council announced plans to make a number of improvements to services at Kensington Central Library last month, including improved computer facilities and a wider range of books.
