Premier Letting Agents in Barnet London EN4 , EN5
Area Comments
Essentially still a market town, Barnet provides London access as well as being a gateway to the northern shires. It's a calm, peaceful area that's very popular at the upper middle range of the scale, both for renting and buying.
Barnet features a combination of a village feel, green spaces aplenty and above all a dazzling range of houses, apartments and mansion flats (with a distinct range from buoyant in High Barnet and New Barnet, to more competitively priced properties in East Barnet). Relatively buoyant prices in this region reflect its standing as a popular North London outpost.
Barnet's social atmosphere is one of socially aware hippy-chic, its cafes and restaurants a hive of chatter. Plenty of money is spent on local facilities and amenities, and great schools are found throughout the region both at primary and secondary levels throughout Barnet's catchment area.
The houses and flats in Barnet range from the Victorian villas located near the centre, and terraced Victorian properties which provide much of the movement in the market. There are even some (extremely desirable) Georgian properties in this ancient town, reflecting its history, which line Hadley Common. As well as this, there are new developments of houses which have been sensitively constructed in the New Barnet area, and which remain very popular, if more affordable than the higher end.
Barnet is a great choice for anyone who doesn't have to be too close to London, and who wants to get a range of properties to choose from that's second to none, for prices that - whilst relatively buoyant - remain in touching distance of most budgets.
