Easter activities offered to young people living in property in Finchley
Barnet Council has revealed that a number of activities will be on offer to young people over the Easter period.
Those with children who are looking for flats to rent in Finchley may be interested to note that a range of different courses are being provided between April 6th and 17th.
It is the body's first Easter University programme and follows the launch of a similar initiative last summer, when Barnet Council's Youth and Connexions Service provided activities for over 1,000 people between the ages of eight and 25.
Cabinet member for children's services Fiona Bulmer explained that the scheme will create "opportunities for young people to take part in new and different activities in the school holidays and for them to learn new skills which will help them in their future careers".
Among the courses on offer are salsa and cooking classes, as well as the chance to participate in the musical Hairspray.
Meanwhile, an event for youngsters is being held in north Finchley this week, aimed at helping them discover ways to boost employability by taking part in a range of activities.
