New Barnet school buildings and children's centre unveiled
New buildings at a school near to property to rent in the London borough of Barnet have been unveiled.
The £3.1 million development has seen Childs Hill School and Children's Centre brought together under one roof.
At the opening ceremony, singing performances took place, as did a French presentation by pupils from years five and six at the school.
Also, a thank you presentation was given by the children in the school's Pathways and Reception classes.
The mayor of Barnet, councillor Lisa Rutter, said: "Thanks to a lot of hard work and dedication from staff, parents and pupils, the local neighbourhood now has an improved school and community facilities which they can be proud of and which will serve many generations for years to come."
Last month, the mayor presented awards to a number of foster carers living in Barnet.
They were honoured for their commitment to looking after foster children at an awards ceremony hosted by the local council.
