Letting Agents in Lee London SE12
Area Comments
Lee benefits from having Lewisham and Blackheath within five minutes from it; it's a cheerful area where property is still very competitive, though comparable to, Blackheath - yet it has the easy charm of Lewisham as well.
Mostly Lee is a residential area. It's populated with large Victorian houses of various kinds, and is hugely in demand by the families and young professionals, who want the open spaces it's near - Lee is very close to Blackheath and quite near Greenwich Park - the resources, but don't want to pay Blackheath's steep prices.
The Victorian houses of Lee are most popular in the Handen Road and Southbrook. There are large properties of this period everywhere though, but of course the closer you are to Blackheath itself (as you go across the road and past the Old Tiger's Head/New Tiger's Head towards the Heath) the higher the price you'll pay. There are also some really fine Edwardian houses, as well as plenty of modern town houses in the area. Houses tend to be very large, spacious and often with good gardens.
Lee has good little shops and a nearby supermarket - but if you want a vast range you'll go into Lewisham (an easy five minutes) or Blackheath (even closer) for the trendy and upmarket independent stores and cafes. It's a relaxing and friendly, supremely well connected place to be.

The once much-maligned London Docklands is fast making a reputation for itself as a residential hub, as well as the centre of the UK's financial economy.
