Aspers applies for Stratford casino licence
People looking for property to rent in London may be interested by news that a UK casino brand has applied for a licence to open up a new venture in Stratford that could create hundreds of jobs.
Aspers Group is hoping that Newham Borough Council will rubber stamp its plans for an amusement facility in the leisure hub of the soon-to-be opened Westfield Stratford City.
The company's chairman Damien Aspinall is looking forward to meeting with the local authorities to discuss the possible venture into London's latest retail development.
Besides the range of gaming activities, the casino would also accommodate restaurants, bars, terraces and live entertainment, with the potential to create a further 350 jobs on top of those resulting from new stores such as John Lewis and Next opening up.
News of this application and recent developments at Westfield Stratford City and in the Olympic Park may encourage more people to consider looking for property to rent in the London borough of Newham or in nearby areas.
