Premier Letting Agents in Mile End London E3
Area Comments
Enigmatically and evocatively named, Mile End sounds like the last word. Whilst it might not be that, it's certainly becoming something to shout about to anyone who's considering East London.
As the Bow Road drives its way East out of town, Mile End hangs, a pearl that until recently, has been missed in the rush. Its position in the middle of the conservation areas, and equidistant between Victoria Park (one of the best in the area) and Limehouse to the south make it a great proposition for people wanting access to the river, Canary Wharf/Docklands, or who love the idea of living in one of the richest urban spaces in London - there are no less than five parks are within a few minutes walk of this relatively quiet area.
As development sends the East End rocketing, it's still possible to get good deals out here. Lottery investment is adding to the cash pouring into the area's main Park, Mile End Park - and landmarks such as the Green Bridge which sees the park actually crossing the Mile End Road merely add to its sophisticated, modern feel. Regeneration is definitely making property more attractive both in situation and in terms of its fitting and décor. The area is rich with education, with schools nearby good and the area being home to Queen Mary College (part of London University) as well as teaching elements of Barts and Royal London Hospitals. New arrivals mix with loyal locals, and the younger members of the community, creating a rich mix of people.
Property in Mile End is mixed as it is all over the much-evolved, much changed East End. There are rows of Victorian Terraces off the Mile End Road, as well as stunning new developments in the Merchant Street area. Tredegar Square remains one of the most popular areas, with its large and lovely terraces facing one of the most pleasant garden squares in East London. There are modern developments, and some ex-council property also exists.
With all the facilities of open spaces, nearby Victoria Park, Limehouse and other areas to hand, and with investment all of its own, Mile End is fast becoming a property hotspot in the already hot East End.
