Letting Agents in Hornsey London N8
Area Comments
Taking some of its character from nearby Crouch End and Muswell Hill, Hornsey is great for space, great for shopping, and easy to get to places from. It's a fabulous alternative to these two more pricey neighbourhoods.
Wood Green shopping centre is one of the focal points of the Hornsey area, and provides a great location to pick up most things you'll need without the trouble of getting into town. The difference between the truly multicultural and ethnic area of Wood Green and the more definitely middle class Crouch End/Muswell Hill provides a rich mix for the inhabitants of Hornsey, both in terms of where they eat and drink as well as shop, and in terms of housing. Being near Wood Green means being close to a huge range of genuinely local, ethnic stores and restaurants as well as being near to the lovely places to eat and drink in Muswell Hill/Crouch End.
Hornsey is a mainly Edwardian and Victorian for property. There are lovely Victorian terraces, with a variety of different levels and styles of fitting depending on area. As Hornsey approaches Muswell Hill and Crouch End, it gets more middle class, with large Victorian houses and some very fine terraces. There are some Edwardian properties around as well. There are good flats either as maisonettes or in some modern apartment blocks, of which there are a few dotted here and there.
With the benefits of Wood Green on one side and of Crouch End and Muswell Hill on the other, and with a standard of housing that compares with the best of them, Hornsey is a good place to find a deal.
