Hackney set for revamped leisure centre boost
Hackney's appeal to rental property seekers and homebuyers alike is set to be boosted by the reopening of a revamped leisure centre.
The Clissold Leisure Centre, which has been closed since 2003, will be reopened to the public on December 15th with two swimming pools and health and fitness centres reworked, while structural repairs to the roofing and other elements have been carried out.
Kim Wright, of Hackney Council, said: "Getting Clissold Leisure Centre reopened for Hackney residents has been a top priority for the council."
To mark the reopening of the N16 sports centre, organisers are offering a 'no joining fee' on pre-paid membership promotional offers – making Hackney a top location for sporty property-seekers.
The North-East London area already features many up-and-coming neighbourhoods, with property prices rising as more young professionals warm to the area.
ThisIsLondon.co.uk said that "anyone in the know" was looking for property in Hackney now, with pubs and bars springing up, while access to other parts of London was set to be boosted by the imminent East London Tube line extension.
