Elthorne Park opens in Islington
A new park has opened in Elthorne, which could be of interest to those seeking property to rent in the London borough of Islington.
The park features an array of equipment such as a climbing cone, toddler swing and a toddler spinner.
It also boasts a large climbing frame and brightly-coloured climbing balls for young children in the area to test out their motor skills on.
A soft play surface covers the entirety of Elthorne Park and seating has also been installed, along with an accessible toilet.
Councillor Paul Smith, Islington Council's executive member for the environment, said: "This playground in Elthorne Park has been transformed from a slightly shabby area into a brilliant new space."
"Despite the huge cuts from government, the council will keep play funding as a priority," he added.
Earlier this month, the council announced that it was taking action to prevent balls from leaving the popular cricket pitch at Wray Crescent, in order to ensure that those living in property to rent in the London borough of Islington could carry on using the site.
