Some 96% of kids in Enfield get school of preference
Families looking at property to rent in Enfield may be buoyed to hear that 96 per cent of residents have found out their children will get to attend the secondary school of their preference.
In 2012, some 3,577 applicants were offered a place at the establishment they wanted to go to, which is up slightly from the 3,557 recorded in 2011.
It means parents considering living in this area can look forward to their offspring getting the chance to have a good education.
Councillor Ayfer Orhan, cabinet member for schools and children's services, noted the borough has made use of the PAN London Co-ordinated Admissions System.
"This helps all London authorities - together with Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey and Thurrock - to exchange information about applications to each other's schools to reduce the number of children receiving multiple offers," she added.
Ms Orhan continued by saying she is glad to see that nearly every youngster is getting to advance to the secondary school of their choosing.
