Residents living in flats to rent in Enfield could consult with the council
Proposed changes to leisure centres in the London borough of Enfield could benefit people living in flats to rent in the area.
Enfield Council announced it has begun an eight-week consultation period - alongside facility managers Fusion Lifestyle - with the public regarding the upgrades.
Councillor Bambos Charalambous, cabinet member for leisure, said: "We intend to provide excellent facilities for all people in all parts of the borough so that they can improve their fitness, meet friends and learn new physical skills."
He added he hopes members of the community will get involved with the consultations over the coming weeks.
Work is planned to take place at Southgate Leisure Centre and Albany Leisure Centre, with the latter due to have an extension built on the ground floor of the existing building to allow space for fitness and dance studios, as well as other facilities.
Earlier this week, Haringey Council revealed four swimming pools in the borough would be refurbished following a £250,000 grant from the mayor of London.
