Enfield residents gain high-tech library equipment
Those living in property to rent in the London borough of Enfield can now make use of new high-tech equipment at one of their local libraries.
Self-issue kiosks have been installed at Ordance Road Library, replacing the old reception counter.
The two kiosks will cut the amount of time that it takes for visitors to check out items, such as books and CDs.
They will also give staff members more time to assist members of the public with any queries that they have.
Councillor Bambos Charalambous, cabinet member for leisure and culture, said: "I hope that residents will visit Ordnance Road Library and try out the new kiosks for themselves. These are exciting times for Ordnance Road."
The improvements to the venue were paid for by the Library and Museum Service and the Working Neighbourhoods Fund.
Earlier this month, Enfield Council announced that it was working with Notting Hill Housing Association to provide paid work placements for those working towards construction qualifications.
