Residents of property to rent in Ealing urged to apply for alley-gating scheme
Residents of property to rent in the London borough of Ealing are being urged to submit their applications for the council's alley-gating scheme.
This programme sees the installation of robust steel gates in alleys alongside homes and shops, with the aim of protecting them from criminals.
The gates do not only help to reduce burglary, but also deter fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour.
Councillor Ranjit Dheer, cabinet member for safer communities, said that the gating scheme provides a great way for residents to unite to protect their neighbourhood.
"There are limited funds during these tough times, and we want to give as many people as we can a chance to benefit from this project," he added.
Those living in the area have until Monday January 31st to submit their applications.
Last week, Ealing Council announced that three primary schools in the area are set to permanently expand to take more pupils, which could interest families seeking property to rent in the London borough of Ealing.
