New Addington improvement plans to go on display
People in flats to rent in New Addington are being invited to assess plans to make improvements to the local Central Parade.
Croydon Council will be hosting an event at the Octagon Hub from January 18th to 21st 2012 in order to seek feedback on the best way of spending £516,000 of Outer London Fund money allocated to enhancing the area.
In the week before Christmas, a number of community events were held in New Addington that included trials of several potential permanent improvements.
These included a raised stage area, ice rink, outdoor cinema and skating ramps, as well as a possible new layout for the regular market.
The council said: "Using feedback from the events week, Assemble, the design team, are narrowing down the suggestions and ideas to those which will bring the greatest benefit to the area within the budget."
Croydon Councillors are also currently seeking public opinions on plans to redesign children's centre services to cope with budgetary reductions.
