Flats to rent in London 'may save money'
If homeowners in the UK are struggling to keep up with their mortgage payments, looking at flats to rent in London could be a way of saving some cash.
Writing for NJ.com, Jennifer Roe described how she recently made the "radical" decision to sell her house and move into an "easier to manage" situation with her husband.
She explained that she purchased her home at a time when she had more money and did not expect her financial situation to change – something many people may identify with.
However, Ms Roe's move means she is now able to save money.
"Our rent is now one-fourth of what our mortgage was and we are breathing much easier, even if it was hard to say goodbye to the dream house," she added.
Meanwhile, Santander recently suggested it could be easier for people to find property to rent in London than it is for them to purchase a home in the capital at the moment.
People who find themselves in a similar situation to Ms Roe may want to consider looking at flats to rent in the London borough of Kensington instead.
