Council ratings may boost demand for flats to rent in Ealing
Those considering looking for property to rent in Ealing may be encouraged by news that a poll has rated the services of the borough council very highly.
A survey on behalf of the authority found 80 per cent of the 3,365 residents interviewed believed it is "doing a good job", while the highest possible rating of "doing a very good job" was the stated view of 19 per cent, three times as many as a year ago.
In addition to this, 71 per cent said the council was financially efficient and the same number stated the borough is a safe place to be at night, up from 54 per cent a year ago.
Council leader Julian Bell commented: "The most important measure of our success is resident satisfaction. I'm therefore delighted that local people rate the council's performance so highly."
Last month, the council revealed it has become one of the ten most efficient in the UK for waste management, with an eight per cent year-on-year fall in the amount of refuse thrown out by residents.
