Science Museum 'one of the best accessible attractions' in the UK
London's Science Museum has been recognised as one of Britain's best accessible visitor attractions.
The inaugural Rough Guide to Accessible Britain awards recognised the south Kensington attraction as the best family venue as decided by a panel of judges and readers of Accessible Britain.co.uk.
Praise was offered for the "effortless way" the attraction had incorporated accessibility into its hands-on experience. In particular, that way all visitors could get involved in each interactive exhibit was mentioned.
A statement on the guide's website remarked how much effort has been put into making sure people could "easily plan" visits in advance and the creativity of curators in making exhibits both easily accessed and child-friendly.
It said: "Everything is at just the right height for wheelchair users, exhibits are interactive and they have made sure that all visitors, whatever their disability, can participate in the fun."
This exciting and, more importantly, easily accessible attraction may please both families and individuals looking for property to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth or anywhere else within close proximity to the museum.
