New recycling facilities introduced in Potters Bar
A number of new recycling facilities are being opened up that could benefit those looking for flats to rent in Potters Bar.
High streets in Bushey and Potters Bar are to receive new recycling bins for a selection of plastic bottles, drinks cans and other refuse, while they also feature a grate on top to give smokers somewhere to put their cigarette butts.
Councilor Jean Heywood, environment portfolio holder at Hertsmere Borough Council, said: "Residents are already recycling their waste at home so we hope this will encourage them to recycle on the go as well.
It is hoped the new measures will help maintain the pristine beauty of the area and they will be situated at High Road, High Street and Sparrows Herne in Bushey and High Street and Darkes Lane in Potters Bar.
The news follows a recent announcement from the local authority that Christmas cards and other festive items, such as Christmas trees, are to be recycled on dates in January at selected sites around Potters Bar.
