Tower Hamlets private school to attract families
The development of the London docklands' first private school is set to attract new families to the area.
Irish property developers Ballymore will be developing the £4,000 a term school in the Leamouth district of Tower Hamlets.
The development of the school is likely to attract a large number of families looking for homes to rent in the borough, which includes a number of attractions such as the shops and restaurants of Canary Wharf and the world-class entertainment of the 02 Arena.
The school, which is scheduled to open in 2010, will cater for about 400 pupils aged three to 11 years old.
Leamouth is an area of East London which has been ear marked by the London Development Agency as a key regeneration zone, meaning that the region is likely to see major improvements in time for the 2012 Olympics.
Tower Hamlets also benefits from having excellent links to the City and Canary Wharf financial districts, as well as rent that is comparatively cheap to the rest of Central London.
