People in flats to rent in London could benefit from an allotment
Individuals in flats to rent in London may wish to start growing their own fruit and vegetables by finding a nearby allotment and enjoying the pleasure it can bring.
Marc Rosenberg, news editor at Amateur Gardening Magazine, said in the recent years there has been a surge in Britons choosing to produce their own food.
"To grow vegetables which you can harvest and enjoy with your family is a great benefit," he said.
Mr Rosenberg added the nurturing process can give people who cultivate produce from its beginnings through to the plate a great deal of satisfaction.
He noted over the past few years there has been a rise in the number of plants available to individuals using allotments, which may have led to more people taking up the hobby.
Last week, research published by Mintel found modern city dwellers, such as those occupying flats to rent in London, are developing a love for gardening and are now finding new ways to bring healthy products home.
