Library offers new services to Hammersmith tenants
Tenants in flats to rent in the London borough of Hammersmith could find they are able to stay better connected with the opening of a refurbished library in the area.
Askew Road Library has been given an £87,000 makeover - and books are not the only form of print that will be passing through its doors from now on.
It has been fitted with a Post Office counter, enabling residents in the area to benefit from a new location from which to pick up undelivered parcels.
Previously, they faced a journey out of the borough to the nearest parcel depot, if their mail was attempted to be delivered while they were out.
The official opening of the new library was on March 24th, meaning it is already providing services to tenants in flats to rent in the London borough of Hammersmith.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council director of residents' services Lyn Carpenter says: "I am sure that all visitors will be thrilled with the revamped library."
As with many libraries, the facilities on offer at Askew Road are aimed at all age groups, with specialist areas for teenagers and children, as well as CD and DVD lending and a stock of audio books.
