Landlords 'encouraged to boost energy efficiency'
As impact on the environment becomes an increasing concern for many Britons, people looking for flats to rent in Eltham or another part of London may prioritise choosing a home which has positive green credentials.
Indeed, according to Plumbing Park, as landlords now have to provide their new tenants with an energy performance certificate detailing how much the building costs to run in terms of utilities, it could be beneficial to make an investment in energy efficiency.
The resource asserts that insulation is one of the best ways of achieving this.
Ottokar Rosenberger, sales and marketing director of Ratedpeople.com, told the resource: "It is advisable for homeowners to look at investing in insulation for their homes, as a method of improving its energy efficiency and also as a way of saving on heating bills in the long term."
Reduced heating bills could prove a particular draw to people looking for property to rent in London in order to save money.
Love Money's Alison Hunt recently advised that switching energy providers was another way to reduce utility bills.
