Insurance advice offered for people looking at property to rent in London
Anyone looking at property to rent in London has been offered some advice on what they should do if they want to take out an insurance policy.
Daily News reports that people need to make a list of items they own and find the market value of their property before looking at renter insurance.
It is also a good idea to get a few quotes from different providers so the average cost can be established.
While some people could look at flats to rent in London on their own, others may want to share with a friend so it is important for them to insure a roommate against damage to the items they cause.
"It is a good idea to make a video of all the items that you own. This will make it easy for you to process your claim if your property is stolen or damaged," the news provider continues.
At the end of last month, FindaProperty.com revealed that the average rent in the UK went up by 2.3 per cent in the second quarter of 2010.
