Pupils gain places at Croydon primary school next week
Parents living in property to rent in the London borough of Croydon will soon find out whether their children have gained a place at Crescent Primary School.
On Monday (April 4th), letters offering places at the new school will be posted to parents across the borough.
The school, which is on the site of the old Selhurst School for Boys, will open its doors to 150 children for the first time in September.
A total of £7 million is being spent on refurbishing the school and equipping it with state-of-the-art technology.
Councillor Tim Pollard, cabinet member for children, young people and learners at Croydon Council, said: "Starting primary school is a major milestone in every child's education and Croydon's new school, the Crescent Primary will offer all its pupils a fantastic learning environment in which they can thrive."
Last month, young people living in flats to rent in the London borough of Croydon showcased their musical and dancing talents at the Mayor's Show in Fairfield.
