'Unprecedented demand' for London property
Britain's commercial property market has seen the largest rise in capital growth since June 2006, according to a recent report.
The latest Investment Property Databank Monthly Index has shown an increase of 1.1 per cent in September and a 1.2 per cent rise over the last three months.
And with more organisations looking for commercial rental opportunities in the capital, it could be said that increasing numbers of employees will be looking to move closer to their place of work.
With this in mind, Britons may find that property to rent in Blackheath or another part of London offers them more flexibility than buying a home.
Commenting on the news, Clive Bull, head of Central London investment at Cushman & Wakefield, said: "The general feeling is that rents seem to be stabilising a little bit, certainly that is the case in London."
He added that more optimism was now being seen within the commercial property market in the capital.
