Property to rent in Brent: Youngsters jump at parkour classes
Families with children interested active pursuits may want to look for property to rent in the London borough of Brent, as a series of classes on parkour are being held there.
Earlier this week, a group of youngsters from South Kilburn started to learn about the sport, which is also known as free running and sees practitioners use climbing, jumping, vaulting and rolling to efficiently negotiate obstacles.
The six free workshops are being delivered by Brent Council and the South Kilburn Partnership Trust and are just one part of a wider initiative to boost the regeneration of the area.
Sarah Butler, South Kilburn creative co-ordinator, said: "Parkour is the latest craze at the moment and its happening right here in Brent with some of the best in the business working with our young people."
She added that the sport allows young people to develop a greater appreciation of their surroundings and is a good way of getting physical exercise.
Last month, Brent Council and the South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust announced that four new art projects with be carried out in the area, which may make property to rent in the London borough of Brent more attractive.
