Southwark Council is currently undertaking work that is part of an overall investment of £90 million in major area renovations.
property in Southwark that is situated in the Castlemead Estate of the borough is having work done that will improve the lives of tenants, according to the local authority.
Concrete repairs and new painting is required to improve the facilities in the region to ensure the residents can benefit from the property's new lease of life, it added.
Kim Humphreys, executive member for housing at the council, explained how the focus is on looking after people in flats to rent in Southwark.
"We aim to invest around £70 million to £90 million in major works each year to provide tenants with first-class housing," she explained. "Once completed, Castlemead residents will enjoy a warm, well insulated building in time for winter this year."
