Lambeth nursery schools get outstanding mark from Ofsted
Ofsted inspectors have given a federation of nursery schools and children's centres in Lambeth an outstanding mark.
It is one of the first areas in the country to pick up the accolade and means families with young kids searching for property to rent in Lambeth can expect their offspring to be well looked after.
Executive headteacher Sue Donovan said everyone is "delighted" to receive such high recognition for the quality of services offered to youngsters.
"[It] is testament to the ever-increasing standards of education within our nursery and children's centres. This is due to the hard work of our dedicated teams," she added.
Ms Donovan went on to note that Lambeth Council has supported the group to make sure it can sustain such a high level.
Debbie Jones, who has been the executive director of children and young people's service since August 2010, praised the hard work of teachers, pupils and families in committing to the system.
