Flats to rent in Lambeth 'offered recycling scheme'
People living in flats to rent in the London borough of Lambeth may be able to take advantage of a new recycling scheme in the area.
Until August 28th, temporary collection points for unwanted mobile phone chargers will be set up across the borough.
People are able to take their devices to the stations where they will be collected and sent to a Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment reprocessing plant in Daventry.
The aim of the scheme is to collect 150,000 chargers throughout the course of August, which will produce 40 tonnes of metal and plastic.
Similarly, people living in Lambeth can also take batteries from other household objects to several shops and libraries in the borough so these too can be recycled.
Last week, it was announced a wider range of toilets are going to be made available in Stockwell, as a number of bars, restaurants and shops will let the public use their facilities, even if they do not make a purchase.
