Every Hounslow secondary school is outstanding or good
Every single secondary school in Hounslow has achieved an outstanding or good inspection from Ofsted.
In total, six of the 14 learning institutions received the highest acclaim, while the remaining eight were offered the good class. It means any families considering flats to rent in Hounslow will be buoyed by the educational record of the borough.
Chiswick School recently received a good rating from the body, which comes 12 months after Heston Community School also reached that level of attainment. Judith Pettersen, director of children's services and lifelong learning at the London borough of Hounslow, praised the efforts of Chiswick School.
"The team at Chiswick has worked hard to achieve this richly deserved judgement and we all want to congratulate them on seeing their efforts recognised. Their success puts the borough in the enviable position where all our secondary schools are judged either outstanding or good," she added.
Ms Pettersen stated anyone involved in the educational sector should be very proud of this achievement, as it is a testament to the "dedication, commitment and professionalism" showcased by everyone working with young people.
It means Hounslow can join an elite Nationwide list that can make this claim, which should go some way to make it a more appealing place to live.
Tony Ryan, head of Chiswick School, observed all of the staff at the learning institution have been working hard to achieve the good status. He added parents can look forward to the centre being further recognised going forward, as it aims to be made into an outstanding location when it next faces inspection.
In the report carried out by Ofsted, it highlighted the failure of a small number of students to be at the same level as everyone else as the reason it cannot be awarded outstanding status. However, the quality of leadership offered by the headteacher and senior team was praised as the main reason for the advancements made by the school.
