Could rising cost of living make flats to rent attractive?
The rising cost of living could encourage more people to consider flats to rent in the London borough of Harrow to save a few pennies.
According to Annie Shaw, editor of CashQuestions.com, things such as food and oil are getting more and more expensive, despite inflation levels remaining fairly stable.
Similarly, she noted the costs of petrol and utilities are also increasing, which may encourage more people to consider flats to rent in the London borough of Harrow if they cannot afford to purchase a property.
"Of course, we have also been threatened with higher rail fares for next year," she added, which might be another reason to live in the capital.
Ms Shaw believes the declining rate of inflation is a positive thing, but does not reflect the amount of money individuals may have to spend on certain items.
Her comments come after the Office for National Statistics revealed Consumer Price Index annual inflation currently stands at 3.1 per cent, which is lower than June's figure of 3.2 per cent.
