Brent artists show off their work
People living in property to rent in South Kilburn are invited to take a look at a showcase from some of the area's most talented young artists.
The 13 trainees at the South Kilburn Studio are displaying their movies and photographs at their year-end show tonight (September 8th) and everyone in the borough of Brent is invited.
Between 19:00 and 21:00 BST, the work the 18 to 25-year-olds have produced over the last three months - under the guidance of industry professionals - will be on show at the studio.
Previously an empty council building that was transformed into a working space for artists, the South Kilburn Studio was commissioned by Brent Council and South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust, in conjunction with the Architect Foundation.
Professionals have been able to use space there for free in exchange for taking on a trainee.
The studio website stated: "Please come along to marvel at what the trainees of South Kilburn Studios have learnt over the past six months.
"In their final exhibition they will showcase projects they have created during their traineeship and will be on hand to explain how the project has benefitted them. Come along, take a look at the work and have a drink," it added.
