Tudor Rose children's and community centre opens in Fulham
Residents of flats to rent in Fulham will be able to benefit from the availability of a brand new children's and community centre on the Fulham Court Estate, which has been created using a £1 million investment.
The Tudor Rose facility incorporates a ground-floor centre for families with children under the age of five and a first-floor community centre, which will play host to tenants' and residents' association activities, as well as other local community functions.
Among the events that will be held at the new site are youth groups, healthy eating classes, mother and toddler groups, council outreach services, employment advice sessions and more.
It replaces a rapidly degrading 20-year-old prefab building and brings the total number of children's centres in the area to 16.
"As more people learn about the Tudor Rose building I hope it will encourage other groups to use the facilities," said council leader Stephen Greenhalgh.
This follows news from last week that Hammersmith & Fulham Council's children's services have been deemed excellent by Ofsted for the second year running.
