Tenants 'may be battling over heating'
With Christmas fast approaching, temperatures in the UK have begun to drop and Britons may be keen to switch on their central heating.
However, according to new research, some people may have faced opposition from other tenants in their rented accommodation of family home as concerns over increasing energy bills grow.
Indeed, the survey by moneysupermarket.com has revealed that 24 per cent of respondents have admitted to falling out with other members of their household when it comes to deciding whether to switch on the heating.
And while 16 per cent of Britons admit to feeling irritated when the heating is switched on earlier than they had planned, eight per cent have claimed they wanted to warm their home earlier than other members of the household.
The driving force behind these arguments appears to be money, with 62 per cent delaying heating the home in order to save money and 18 per cent admitting it is because they cannot afford to pay their heating bills.
Britons looking for flats to rent in Fulham or another part of London may wish to take advice from maths teacher Matt Parker, who states in a YouTube video that tenants should split rent and bills depending on how many people are sharing a property, rather than on the number of rooms, the Daily Mail reports.
