Fulham 'most popular location' for young professionals
Fulham is the most desirable location for the UK's young aspiring urbanites.
This is according to research from Lloyds TSB and it means flats to rent in Fulham will be hard to come by.
The study also found that Londoners can expect to pay a 40 per cent premium to live in the most popular areas, while London's SW postcodes are home to ten of the 20 most coveted places to live in the UK.
Paddington, Putney, Canary Wharf, Hampstead and Kilburn are the others areas of London that made it into the top 20.
Suren Thiru, housing economist at Lloyds TSB, said: "The typical profile of young professionals is that they tend to have university qualifications, are in well-paid occupations and like to take full advantage of living in or close to the city."
He added this pattern continues to apply to people across the UK, as they are willing to pay extra to live in certain areas.
