Developer buys riverside site
People looking for property to rent in London may be interested to read that a developer has acquired land on the south bank of the River Thames next to Battersea Heliport.
London and Stamford announced that the 57 units and car parking spaces at Bridges Wharf will be transformed into a mix of "award-winning" one and two-bedroom flats and "live/work" hubs.
The company, whose portfolio includes the redevelopment of Arsenal Highbury stadium into residential living quarters, said the project will create more than 53,000 sq ft of potential lettings available to would-be tenants and offer great commuter links into the centre of the capital.
Chairman Raymond Mould expressed his delight with the deal and believes it can build on the success achieved at Highbury, while demonstrating that the firm can respond quickly to attractive investment opportunities.
With more high-quality flats to be built in Battersea, perhaps more people will consider looking at property to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth.
