Comedy Festival in Greenwich
A number of Britain's leading comedians are set to take to the stage in Greenwich later this year, it has emerged.
From September 7th, the Greenwich Comedy Festival will see more than 30 events take place across a seven-day period.
And residents of property to rent in Eltham may wish to head down to the comedic showcase, which will see comedians including Mark Thomas and Sean Hughes perform at the Greenwich Theatre.
Meanwhile, the Old Royal Naval College will host performances by Jo Brand, Mark Watson and Father Ted star Ardal O'Hanlon, among others.
Taking place underneath a 1,200-seater tent, the event will also involve the college serving a barbecue and refreshments from the Meantime Brewery.
And with around 15,000 tickets available, those living in property to rent in Greenwich may wish to act quickly if they want to see any of the performances.
Young people have also got a chance to take part as festival organisers - alongside Greenwich Council - are hosting the Alternative Futures series of comedy workshops, where 30 young people between the ages of 15 and 19 will have to chance to develop their routine and perform at the Old Royal Naval College.
