New guide launched for businesses in Richmond
People seeking flats to rent in Richmond will be able to find out about local businesses and amenities through the launch of a new guide to the area.
Richmond Council has announced the launch of the VisitRichmond Guide 2012, an online resource that will list shops, hotels, attractions and entertainment venues available in the borough.
Among the locations and facilities highlighted by the guide are pubs, arts centres, markets and luxury shops, with a dedicated section outlining child-friendly entertainment options.
According to the council, the launch of the guide will be vital in helping Richmond make the most of the expected surge in tourism that will result from the London Olympics 2012.
Pamela Fleming, Richmond Council's cabinet member for communities, business and culture, said: "Supporting the economy in all its forms is absolutely key to helping the borough recover from the recession and this is one of the most obvious ways to do it."
This comes in the same week that the council announced plans to improve its local infrastructure through renovation work at Richmond Station.
