Get Active Wandsworth festival to return
People living in property to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth will be taking part in the second annual Get Active Wandsworth festival next month.
Being held from July 9th until July 24th, the festival aims to get everyone in the borough taking part in more physical activity, regardless of how young or old they are.
British Olympic rower Elise Laverick is the ambassador of the event.
"London 2012 is a huge opportunity for the UK to leave a lasting legacy for sport and physical activity by inspiring people to take part. Festivals such as Get Active Wandsworth play a massive role in that," she said.
Ms Laverick will be going along to Get Active Day on July 9th at Tooting Bec Common.
Here she will present prizes and set the time to beat in this year's rowing competition.
This week, Wandsworth Council launched a brand-new after-school paralympic sports club for children in the borough who have disabilities.
