Sutton residents to star in zombie film
People living in flats to rent in the London borough of Sutton and other types of property are being given the chance to appear as extras in a zombie movie being filmed in their area.
All local residents aged over 16 can apply to star in the thriller Cockneys vs Zombies.
The film stars Michelle Ryan, who played Zoe Slater in Eastenders and the lead role in 2007 TV series Bionic Woman.
Scenes for the finale of the flick are to be filmed from April 17th - 29th in Bawtree House, which is a vacant old people's home on Worcester Road.
Councillor Jayne McCoy, Sutton Council's executive member for planning, economic development and housing, said: "Sutton is well known for being a friendly, socially inclusive place so it's nice to welcome new faces in town - even if they are zombies."
Last week, the Sutton Word Factory book, which is a collection of poems and short stories produced by writers inspired by the borough's industrial heritage, was launched at the Carshalton Water Tower.
