Sutton residents invited to National Libraries Day events
Local libraries are inviting people living in flats to rent in Sutton down for a series of events this February to showcase the range of services they have to offer.
Coinciding with National Libraries Day on February 4th, different facilities will be holding all sorts of fun activities for children, including the Circle, Beddington, Wallington and Life Centre libraries.
Craft clubs, book trails, art contests and story writing competitions will all be among the events on offer, while the Phoenix Library is hosting a Wii marathon and the chance to make a special bookmark.
Meanwhile, adults will be entertained with ancestry taster sessions at Carshalton Library, while Sutton will open its local studies and archives centre for puzzles, quizzes and films.
Graham Tope, the council's lead member for libraries, said: "Sutton's libraries are a well-loved resource and National Libraries Day is a great chance to find out what they've got to offer."
Earlier this month, Sutton Council also revealed that it will be organising book giveaway events this April to mark World Book Night.
