NLA and UKALA form new alliance
People looking at flats to rent in the London borough of Sutton and elsewhere in the UK may benefit from a new partnership.
The National Landlords Association (NLA) has announced it is joining forces with the UK Association of Letting Agents (UKALA).
Commenting, John Peartree, chief executive of UKALA, explained the move will create a "better private-rented sector" in Britain.
He explained that members of his organisation will be able to access rent guarantee insurance and other services offered by the NLA.
Meanwhile, David Salusbury, chairman of the second organisation, explained the move will be mutually beneficial as both landlords and tenants are likely to feel the positive effects of the decision.
"This is an excellent opportunity to create a more unified voice for landlords, tenants and Letting Agents across the private rented sector," he added.
The NLA will now be responsible for offering advice to member agents of the UKALA, as well as taking over management duties.
Last month, Mr Salusbury welcomed Paragon's decision to return to the buy-to-let lending sector with a new range of products that may help to stimulate the market.
