Men Behaving Dadly event ready for rematch
Fathers and male carers who live in property to rent in Sutton are invited to participate in a football tournament this weekend.
More than 40 fathers have signed up so far to take part in the Men Behaving Dadly event, organised by Sutton Children's Centres and Kingswood Falcons Football Club.
The tournament will take place at Manor Park Children's Centre on Saturday October 29th from 10:30 BST and will also include activities for children such as face painting, messy play and a second-hand toy stall.
Organisers hope it will beat last year's total of £148 for Rett UK, a charity that funds research and provides support to people living with the rare neurological disorder Rett Syndrome and their families.
Councillor Dave Callaghan, executive member for children, families and youth services on Sutton Council, said: "This is a great opportunity for dads to meet other fathers and take their children for a fun day out.
"It can be tricky to meet other parents, particularly if your working hours mean you don't get the chance to chat at the school gates and having other fathers to talk to can be invaluable," he added.
