Merton residents to comment on new school plan
People living in property to rent in the London borough of Merton are being given the chance to comment on plans to change a school in the area.
Residents in Wimbledon are being asked by Merton Council to share their views on the proposed expansion of Dundonald Primary School.
In order to take part in this consultation, residents need to visit the council's website or complete a form which the council has sent to all households in the vicinity of the school.
These consultation forms can also be found at the Merton Civic Centre on London Road in Morden.
Merton Council cabinet member for education councillor Peter Walker said: "Dundonald Primary School provides top quality education and is continually oversubscribed. The proposed expansion would ensure that more local children will be educated in the school of their choice and close to their home."
Earlier this month, the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games called for nominations for residents of Merton to carry the Olympic torch next year.
